APG 141 – Play APG Bingo!

Three people lost their lives in a tragic mid-air collision between a helicopter and a Cirrus SR22 last week at the Frederick Municipal Airport in Frederick, Maryland (KFDK). We listen to the ATC communications with the pilots, and talk about the importance of following instructions and using “See and Avoid” procedures.

An American Airlines flight from LAX to LHR returned to the gate last week when a mysterious wifi network name appeared on a passenger’s computer while taxiing out for takeoff. The “Al Quida Free Terror Nettwork” upset the passenger, who notified a flight attendant, who in turn notified the captain. The flight departed the next day at 1:00 PM, after a delay of 17 hours.

The MD-11 has flown its last regularly scheduled revenue flight (passenger service). KLM Flight 672 took off from Montreal and flew to Amsterdam.
